Georgian Larry Johnson is replacing longtime United Championship Racing Alliance race director Stanley Smith, who's relinquishing his duties due to his full time employment status in Alabama, beginning Saturday night at Wartburg Speedway.

Johnson comes with tenure as a former race director at North Georgia Speedway and is expected to make a seamless transition into the position.

Also, pertaining to Saturday night's $2,500 to win "Tennessee Tussle" UCRA event in Wartburg, the Plateau Electric Cooperative of Morgan County announced power interruptions beginning after midnight, June 18, forcing track and series officials to shorten the A-Main event from 40 laps to 30 laps.

No change will be made to the nearly $10,000 purse for the 604/Crate Late Models presented by Red Line Synthetic Oil.
