Basecamp Invites Public To Create Community Connection Through Coworking Event Series Kickoff On Wednesday

  • Tuesday, July 12, 2022

The public is invited to a free community event featuring a speaker series, coworking spaces and networking activities – as well as plenty of coffee and lunch this Wednesday.

The coworking event, hosted by The Enterprise Center and The Company Lab, begins at Waterhouse Pavilion (also known as Miller Plaza) downtown at 9 a.m.

This is the first event in the series, which will take place monthly leading up to Startup Week this fall, and feature two different speakers each month.

Additionally, each month features a nonprofit spotlight, beginning with River City Co., which helped provide the event space.

“Basecamp is about providing opportunities for our wide range of residents to connect, with a goal of nurturing collaborations and creativity that benefit us all,” said Kevin Love, director of Innovation District programming for The Enterprise Center.

This month’s event will also feature a Happy Hour at Moxy the evening of July 13 from 5-7 p.m. in partnership with Young Professionals of Chattanooga to spotlight interns across the city and provide ways for them to network within similar industries.

“Intern Connection supports our future leaders and the goal to make the greater Chattanooga area a great place for our diverse young talent to live, work and thrive, while having fun,” CO.LAB Director of Programs Austin Corcoran said. “Bringing our young professionals together to form connections will impact our community for years to come.”

Registration for the event is free, but will help determine food and beverage quantities. Anyone interested in attending can see the full schedule of events and reserve your spot here, and everyone is invited to bring a friend or colleague.
