Bekita Heath, 58, of Chattanooga, Tennessee met Jesus face to face on July 3, 2022. She was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and was raised in Chattanooga.

She was preceded in death by her father, Don E. Morgan and her mother Bobbie Jo Morgan.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bo Heath. Her children: Caleb Heath (Sophia), Alex Hydas (Hunter), Colby Heath (Kristen), Clayton Heath (Sophie), Sydney Barker (Drake). She is lovingly known as “Honey” by her 11 grandchildren: Bo, Grace, Brooks, Baker, Ty, Luke, Xavier, Miles, Hampton, Sarah Mae, and Henry.

She faithfully served in her church for over 30 years. Most recently, she served as the Director of Women’s Ministry at Silverdale Baptist. Under her leadership and direction, the Ladies’ Christmas Tea reached thousands of women with the truth of the gospel for over 25 years.

Bekita lived her life deeply rooted in the gospel. She leveraged her time, resources, and efforts to introduce people to Jesus Christ. She taught others to not only know the Word, but to love it. She was gifted in delivering truth with humor and humility. Her passion for others to know the gospel was a result of her own life being changed by it.

Chief among her endeavors was cultivating a family that loves to be together and serve the Lord together. She was always the first to help, the biggest encourager, and hostess of Sunday lunch.

The family would like to thank the SICU staff and doctors at Erlanger Hospital. Namely, Destiny and Dr. Jean for taking such exemplary care of her and exceeding the call to service.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, from 2-8 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 7 at 2 p.m. Both will be held at Silverdale Baptist Church, 7236 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga. A private burial will be held for the family after the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Gideons International or the Missions Fund of Silverdale Baptist Church.
