Lookouts Sweep Doubleheader With Two More One Run Wins

  • Sunday, August 17, 2025

The Chattanooga Lookouts beat the Montgomery Biscuits twice on Saturday evening, both games ending with a 5-4 victory. The Lookouts have now won seven of their last eight games with six of the seven being by a one run margin.

In Game One the Lookouts trailed 4-1 entering the bottom of the sixth inning. Jay Allen's RBI single was followed by an Ethan O'Donnell double to score two more and cap a four run sixth inning and give Chattanooga the victory. Trevor Kuncl pitched a scoreless seventh inning to secure his 18th save of the season.

Jack Rogers provided the fireworks in Game Two blasting a three run homerun in the bottom of the fourth inning to ignite a second straight comeback win. Jay Allen and Austin Hendrick both walked to start the inning and scored on Rogers' first homerun of the season. Relief pitcher Simon Miller had an interesting evening. After blowing the save in the top of the seventh inning, Miller was rewarded with the victory on the mound with another Lookouts rally. With one out Jay Allen again came through, this time with a double to left field. After Ethan O'Donnell was intentionally walked, Austin Hendrick singled through the right side to score Allen and give the Lookouts a walk off victory.

The two teams conclude their series on Sunday afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 2:15 p.m. After an off day Monday the Lookouts will hit the road to Biloxi for a six game series.
