Lonnie Wayne Bridges, 68, of Cleveland, departed this life on Monday, July 4, 2022, at Tennova Healthcare. Born on June 30, 1954, in Jellico to the late Willie and Irene Bridges, he was a long-time resident of Bradley County, retired from Shaw Industries and was an active member of Four Points Baptist Church. Lonnie loved fishing, the Tennessee Vols and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Danny Bridges, Mary Overbay and Ralph Bridges.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mollie Bridges; children, Nikita Randolph (Daniel), Ginger Ashton (Bill), Randall Secress and Cody Secress; grandchildren, Aubrey, Carter, Ava, Madelynn, McKenna, and Kayla (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Sadie and Allison; siblings, Linda Tinsley, Joyce Beard, J.B. Bridges (Donna), Rick Bridges (Ann), Bob Bridges, Ruthie Ward, Millie Procter and Emma Stansbury (Wes); and several nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life and Homegoing for Lonnie Wayne Bridges will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 7 at Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel, with Alex Cain and Shane Pierce officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday.
