Local author and teacher John V. Suter of Sale Creek,  releases the first novel in his new action adventure series. “Jeb Strauss and Grant’s Gold”.

A lost gold shipment from Ulysses S. Grant lies buried in the sediments of the Tennessee River. In 1863 the steamboat “The Baron” was commissioned to deliver gold to the embattled Union forces in
Chattanooga. Unfortunately the cargo never made it to its destination.

Treasure hunter, Jeb Strauss, is hired by a mysterious woman to find the old steamboat and the treasure hidden within. What should have been a simple locate and recovery operation turns into a struggle for his life as he searches for Grant’s lost gold.
