Evelyn Clark Sheckles Kelley
Evelyn Clark Sheckles Kelley, 87, of Hixson, Tennessee, and formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, after a long heroic battle with health problems.

Evelyn worked many years with the Tennessee Valley Authority, where she retired.

Evelyn is survived by one daughter, Leah.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lonas and mother, Ima Hoop Clark, two brothers, Dale V. Clark and Hugh M. Clark (ex-sister-in-law, Jan).


Ms. Kelley graduated from Johnson University in Knoxville, Tn.

She spent many years as a volunteer in the neonatal unit at Erlanger Hospital, where she received many accolades.


She was a long-term member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Hixson, where she had many devoted friends.

She leaves behind many friends, Blake Higgins, neighbor who provided her transportation to doctors appointments, mowed her lawn, and helped in ways far too many to mention. Also, other long-time friends include Nadean and Bob Martin and Jackie Odum.

Upon her death, her body was transported to Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, Tn. Evelyn elected to donate her body to science.

A memorial gift may be sent to her church at Grace Church of the Nazarene, 6310, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
