Basketball Round-up: Saturday, January 28th

Girls Games

Whitwell 60, Silverdale 47

Whitwell senior Courtney Zenson reminded the crowd why she was an All-State player last year and scored 11 of her 31 points in the fourth quarter to cap off a comeback for the Lady Tigers. Zenson had five three pointers in the game. Silverdale led most of the second and third quarters and held a 40-34 lead after three periods, but Whitwell exploded for 26 points in the decisive fourth quarter. Zenson, Addie Colvard and Adrianna Ellegde all hit two three-pointers in the 4th quarter comeback. Colvard finished with 14 for Whitwell. Tori Gibson paced Silverdale with 16 points and Braylee Raby finished with 12.
