The Chattanooga area has six chapters of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR).

The initial membership requirement is that “one needs to prove lineage to a Revolutionary War patriot.”

The individual chapters in these locations are Chief John Ross, Judge David Campbell, Moccasin Bend, Chickamauga, Moccasin Bend and Nancy Ward. Each varies in its level of activity, but all are committed to the principle of preserving the memory and historical facts about their ancestors who fought in the initial battles that established Democracy in America.

The John Ross chapter of the NSDAR will celebrate 100 years of preserving the Revolutionary War history at a celebration scheduled for Sunday, May 7, 2023 between the hours of 2-5 p.m.

It will be at the Medal of Honor Heritage Center, 2 Aquarium Way.

Patriotic Americans are respectfully urged to mark their calendars now and “save the date!”
