Anthony LaJuan McKeldin, 64, affectionately known as Tony, departed this life on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at his home in Roswell, Georgia after a lengthy illness.

Tony was born on March 19, 1959, in Chattanooga, to his parents, Velvalene Mckeldin and Husen Orlando McKeldin, Sr. Tony was of Christian faith, and loved the Lord. He was educated in the Hamilton County School System and attended Brainerd High School with the class of '78 where he excelled in football as a star quarterback and received several all city and all county awards.

Tony was a long time resident of the Lake Forest Community on Roswell, Ga.; he was a beloved friend, classmate, good neighbor and dedicated business owner and entrepreneur. Tony had a love for kids and dogs, especially his Road Dog and Best Friend "Bandit", whom he had for 13 years.

Tony met the love of his life Cassandra Brown at the age of 16, and after years of courtship, this star athlete and head cheerleader would later marry on Aug. 3, 1996.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darryl McKeldin and niece, Kimberly Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Cassandra McKeldin of Roswell, Ga.; daughter, Takiyah McKeldin and grandson Garrison Swain, both of Gallatin, Tn.; brother, Husen (Beverly) McKeldin, Jr. of Chattanooga; sisters, Karen (Garland) Eastmanof Chattanooga and Wanda Penn of Elk Grove, Ca.; mother-in-law, Vera Brown; sisters-in-law, Deborah Brown, Sharon Madding, Sonya (Donnell) Reynolds and Angela Bush of Chattanooga, Kimberly (Pat) Wells of Dallas; brother-in-law, Jimmy Bush; nieces, Keosha McKeldin of Atlanta Ga, Alexandria, Brucenia, Dakeirra and Darrieal McKeldin of Chattanooga, nephews; Husen III and Chris McKeldin of Chattanooga and Damarcus Jordan of Chattanooga and a host of other relatives and friends and devoted friends; Mike (Nancy) Gore and Chris Keen of Roswell, Ga.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. at New Covenant Fellowship Church in Chattanooga.
