Kathy Tutt
Kathy Ann Tutt, 66, of Chattanooga, was called home to rest and reward on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, in a Murfreesboro, Tennessee hospital.
She was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 7, 1957, to Robert Hubbard, Jr. and Martha Lou Hubbard; her parents preceded her in death (Mother in 1994 and Father in 2018). She lived in her hometown for many years. Kathy was baptized as a youth and saved through Jesus Christ our Lord. She was a Faith-walking Child of God and Loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart and soul. Kathy worshipped the Lord at Lake Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Nashville, Tn. She attended Kirkman Technical High School (KTHS), Chattanooga. Her entire career involved Kathy working diligently in the health care industry, helping those sick and in need of gentle care. Over the last seven years living in Smyrna, Tn., Kathy worked faithfully at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro, Tn. as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). For 30 years, God gave Kathy a MIRACLE of living in Stage 4 Breast Cancer! Prominent Researchers from various well-known institutions asked to study her to understand how she was living so long. She loved her family deeply.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Vernon Hubbard.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Jeremiah (Sonya) Tutt of Shelbyville, TN and Deshun Tutt of Clarksville, TN; and one daughter, LaQuisha Tutt of Smyrna, TN; nine grandchildren, Anthony Tutt, Desiree Tutt, Jaylen Tutt, Jeremiah Tutt, Jr., Joycelyn Tutt, Leona Tutt, Sharye Cook, Justin Tutt, and Jayden Tutt; three great-grandchildren, Kyson Tutt, Sofia Tutt, and Cashton Tutt-Jackson; her siblings, two Sisters, Margie Rett Barber of Chattanooga and Mary (Floyd) Ray of Memphis, TN and three brothers, Micheal Ray (Linda) Hubbard, Robbie “Booboo” (Pearl) Hubbard, and Darrin Hubbard, all of Chattanooga; a host of cousins, aunts and uncles on her mother’s and father’s sides of her great family.
Kathy will lie in state on Saturday, Nov. 18, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral servicea will follow at noon in the chapel with Pastor Ron B. Cook, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
