Upcoming Special Event Road Closures

Here are upcoming special even road closures:

Blue Cross Bowl

The following roads will be closed or restricted from Thursday, at 8 a.m. until Saturday, at 11:59 p.m.**:

  • Reggie White Blvd.

    between the Chattanooga Skate Park north entrance and W 19th Street (**Reggie White only will close starting Wednesday, at 10 a.m. for set up) 

  • Chestnut Street between W 17th Street and W 19th Street.

  • W 19th Street between Reggie White Blvd and Chestnut Street

  • Westbound and Eastbound right lanes of W 20th Street between Broad Street and the HWY 27 bridge.

Street parking will be prohibited on Chestnut Street between W 20th Street and W Main Street on the dates/times listed above. Vehicles left within the closure will be towed at the owner's expense.

Hamilton County Courthouse Tree Lighting

The following will be closed beginning Thursday, at 8 a.m. until Friday, at 9 a.m. for the Hamilton County Courthouse Tree Lighting:

  • Lookout Street between E 6th Street and Georgia Ave

  • Georgia Ave southbound right lane between E 6th Street and E 7th Street

Honest Charley Private Events

Fort Street between W 13th Street and W 14th Street will be closed on the following days/times for a private event:

  • Friday, from 3 p.m. until 2 a.m. on Saturday
  • Saturday, from 12:01 a.m. until 11:59 p.m.

MainX24

Parade: Main Street between Central Avenue and Broad Street will be closed on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. for the annual MainX24 Parade. This includes a full closure of the intersection of Market Street and Main Street. Detours will be in place via Broad Street, W 20th Street, and Central Avenue. All street parking will be restricted within the closure until the parade is finished.

Jefferson Street, E 19th Street, and Rossville Ave will be utilized for parade staging. Delays may be expected on these roads from 9 until 11 a.m.

Clumpies Ice Cream Block Party: W 14th Street between Williams Street and Market Street will be closed on Saturday, from 12:30 p.m. until 11 p.m.. W 14th Street will remain open until the MainX24 parade concludes.
