Catoosa Commissioners Lift Outdoor Burn Ban

  • Wednesday, December 6, 2023

Ringgold, GA (December 5, 2023) – The Catoosa County Board of Commissioners has lifted the countywide outdoor burn ban, effective immediately, following the recommendation from Catoosa County Fire Chief Randy Camp.

“Based on the recent precipitation that the county has received and the additional rainfall that is forecasted for the upcoming weekend, it is my recommendation to lift the countywide burn ban,” Chief Camp said. “After discussions with the Georgia Forestry Commission, we should begin seeing our neighboring counties lift their bans as well. Currently, drought conditions have improved and are expected to continue improving over the next few weeks.”

For additional information or questions about outdoor burning, please contact the Catoosa County Fire Department at (706) 861-4194.
