CSCC To Hold High School Art Competition

  • Wednesday, February 1, 2023
Cleveland State Community College will host a high school art competition in conjunction with the annual Multicultural Fair this spring. The competition is open to all high school students, grades nine-12. The deadline for digital submissions is Feb. 15, and $500 in cash prizes will be awarded.

Students may submit up to three entries in all media and subject matter for a juried exhibition. Students can enter their own artwork or be nominated by an art teacher. Digital submissions will be juried by the Cleveland State art faculty and selected works will be displayed at an exhibition in the CSCC Art Studio Gallery April 3-8.

Bethany Coffin, CSCC assistant professor of art, said, “We are very excited to be exhibiting student work at our multicultural fair.
It is so important for young adults to have opportunities to share their voice, ideas and perspectives. I look forward to interacting with our area high school students, engaging with their artwork and presenting achievement awards.”
