Vonda Kay Jackson Marshall
Vonda Kay Jackson Marshall, age 58, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
She was born Nov. 1, 1964 to Shirley Mack Nared and the late Walter Jackson. She was preceded by her stepfather, James Nared.
Survivors are her loving and devoted husband, Lawrence Marshall; children, Sedrick Shropshire, Zakeya Jackson, Carmen (Stephan) Pendarvis, Shacola Caldwell, Deanna Gaines, Tyshawn and Jerwell Taylor, Imeana (Tia) Kelley, Emari Clark, Jovonna & Jovonte Gaines; grandchildren, Michael, Kierra, Kameron, Chloe, Kofi, Choleigh, Liam, Mazaya, Mila, Dontae, Maliyah, Kennedi, Amayzin, Kamoria; step-grandchildren, Brianna, Ariana, Stephan Jr., Molleigh, Gabriel, Samuel, Emari; two great-grandchildren; mother, Shirley Mack Nared, stepfather, Elijah Henderson; sister, Yolanda (Sean) Washington; brother, Kim Storey; step siblings, Cleo Nared, James Nared, Anthony and Tony Nared; father-in-law, George (Bobbie) Marshall; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert L. Melson, Sr.; nieces, nephews, Davadrion, Starlette, Tiera, Nikisha, Zana, great-nieces, great-nephews; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A Homegoing Service will be held on Saturday, March 4, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 289 Dunwoody Road, LaFayette, Georgia 30728 with Dr. Robert L. Melson, Sr. as eulogist and Pastor Rheubin M. Taylor, officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, March 3, from 6-7:30 p.m.
Interment will be at Naomi Cemetery.
