Confronting America's Unspeakable Truths

  • Friday, March 31, 2023

The word “religion” derived from the Latin “religio”; to tie, bond or link back. Circumstances, both political and societal, appear particularly queer and ominous nowadays. One can hardly comprehend how fast attitudes and proclivities have changed in America. Culturally, this transvaluation of values resembles Pol Pot’s “Year Zero” philosophy (in it’s velocity) but it’s thoroughness is more reminiscent of the Chinese Revolution’s “Long March Through The
Institutions”.

The original American colonists shared common bonds (religion, shared language and goals) and they possessed an indomitable spirit to improvise, adapt and overcome the hardships of early American life. The uniqueness of those early Americans cannot be understated; our society developed in a particular manner because those settlers possessed a particular array of innate values and skills. This original stock of Teutons, Nordics and Normans were endowed with high levels of cognitive abilities and these were vital in the formation of America.

Fast forward to today, the victimhood mentality is raging like a wildfire through society, spilling out into every facet of American life and threatening to destroy all vestiges of culture. From our statues to our ideals, these Neo-Marxists feel they must raze all cultural scaffolding in order to “re-imagine” the coming socialist utopia. To accelerate America’s destruction, evil agents like Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo are enlisted to poison the intellectual well by focusing their corrosive grievance studies on divisive issues (like race) in order to promulgate the big lies (like systemic racism). They claim America is racist because the society we’ve built doesn’t place enough monetary value (equally) on everyone’s contributions. But who’s fault is that?

There are huge disparities in the cognitive and physical abilities spread out amongst the different peoples who inhabit America. Denying these variations exist amongst different groups is another huge problem that exacerbates our current dilemma. All cultures and peoples are not the same; there are differences. The city of New York once tested all the kids in all the public schools and found there were 28 children with an IQ (intelligence quotient) over 170. They surveyed these geniuses and found that 25 of the 28 were Ashkenazi Jews. Matthew Boling is a young (white) sprinter who may one day win Olympic glory in the 100m dash but he’s exceptional; no white man has even made the final race in decades. The genetic differences in people are real, they are measurable and they matter. The inability to confront these uncomfortable truths has left society at an impasse.

Changes in America’s immigration policies in the 1920’s then again in the 1960’s have transformed the demographics of the people who come here. First came the Northern Europeans, then many from Southern Europe and now (since the 1964 Immigration act) people arrive mostly from Central/South America and Asia. These recent immigrants were not steeped in Western Culture; many came from failed states in the Americas. This new “peopling” has apparently had its effect on our values. Adding to this, women won the right to vote, something that Aristotle (amongst others) would’ve vehemently opposed. Their maternal instincts differ starkly from their male counterparts; their instinct is to pick the crying baby up, console it and give it mother’s milk. All these factors have contributed to this new “goulash” we call modern America. Lived experiences now carry more weight than Science, Feelings matter more than Truth, what was Up is now Down.

The bonds that once linked Americans together appear to have broken. But the path forward seems particularly murky because our politicians, academics and journalists are too preoccupied with burning down the house…nobody has even considered forming a bucket brigade to extinguish this insanity using logic, reason and patriotism. Not long ago, Americans had a sense of responsibility, to honor the civilization they’d been given by previous generations and a duty to preserve it for our children. If the forces of Truth don’t soon prevail, there won’t be anything left to preserve. The end is nigh.
