First Tee – Tennessee has opened registration for summer sessions available in Chattanooga and Cleveland. Those interested can go to www.firstteetennessee.org to sign up and find more information.

An initiative of the Tennessee Golf Foundation, First Tee – Tennessee was created in 2018 in Nashville and has now expanded to the surrounding counties of Chattanooga, Memphis, Knoxville and the Tri-Cities. With 148 golf learning facilities nationally, First Tee has introduced the game of golf to over 300,000 participants since 2000 with the focus of giving youths of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and sportsmanship through the game of golf.

The clinics run the weeks of June 5-26, with another session scheduled for July 10-31. The Chattanooga event is staged at the UTC Player Development Complex at 2453 Hickory Valley Road. The classes are open to all skill levels from ages 5 to 17 and are conducted by age groups.

The Cleveland sessions are open to participants from age 7 to 17, and will be held at Flagstone Golf Club with players groups sessions hosted at Falcon Pointe Golf Club.
