Bruce Larkins
Bruce T. Larkins, 67 of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
Bruce was born in Indiana but was a long time resident of Chattanooga. He was a dedicated member of East Brainerd Church of Christ and loved his church family. Bruce earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Technical University. He worked for DeSoto Industries for several years and during his time there held a patent for his design of a fireplace screen. Bruce worked the past 16 years as a mechanical engineer for Astec Industries. He was an avid Dr. Who fan, loved Star Wars and Dune, reading fantasy/science fiction novels, and playing Final Fantasy XI Online. Bruce loved and cared for his family, was dedicated to his job, and will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and coworkers.
Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Larkins and son, Nathan Larkins.
Survivors include his son, Daniel (Mary) Larkins; granddaughter, Emma Larkins; mother, Jo Ann Watson Larkins; brother, Steven Larkins; and many extended family members.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 4, from 2-3 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Rev. Randy Hall officiating.
