Just in time for the summer, Project Pinball Charity will be placing a Hot Wheels pinball machine by American Pinball in the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chattanooga. This dedication will be the first dedication along the first part of their 9th Annual Love Across America Tour.
A few years ago, the team from Classic Arcade Pinball Museum in Chattanooga approached the Project Pinball Team at Southern Fried Gaming Expo in Atlanta with the idea to place a machine at their local RMHC. Since then the Chattanooga pinball community has worked to raise donations, and now finally a therapeutic tool will be donated to benefit the children, families, caregivers, and hospital staff at the RMHC of Chattanooga.
Project Pinball Charity was invited to oversee the set-up of the machine and to implement their Pinball Placement Program, which serves to benefit Children’s Hospitals and Ronald McDonald House Charities through therapeutic relief and fun.
Children and families at the House will discover the therapeutic benefits a pinball machine provides as they are given the opportunity to distract their minds from tough circumstances, said officials.
Project Pinball Charity’s Senior Founder/Director Daniel Spolar highlights the importance of giving back locally: “When Project Pinball heard about the RMHC of Chattanooga, we were extremely impressed with how they have a special way to comfort kids and families. We wanted to do something special for them so, in turn, they could keep doing amazing things for others, especially in times like this.”
Mr. Spolar explains how this donation is one for the books. “This will be the first pinball machine placed for Project Pinball Charity’s 9th Annual Love Across America Tour, and we are beyond excited to see this happen after all the hard work both teams have put into making this the safest, and best, pinball machine dedication. We are thankful for this opportunity to do such impactful things with pinball.”
After Project Pinball Charity finishes their Summer 2023 Love Across America Tour, they will have placed 68 pinball machines throughout the United States in Children’s Hospitals and Ronald McDonald Houses. Project Pinball Charity is an advocate for the rehabilitation and health of each patient and their families.
