McCallie Edges CCS In Middle School Tennis

Playing at McCallie, the Blue Tornado won two out of three doubles matches and three singles matches to defeat the Chattanooga Christian Chargers 5-4 in a very hard fought middle school tennis match.  The doubles teams of Brantley Lockhart-Sam Harris and Campbell Naggar-Rhys Coleman both won tight 8-6 matches at numbers 2 and 3 doubles.  Campbell and Rhys overcame a 5-1 deficit.  Sam Harris won first at number 3 singles followed by number 2 player Brantley Lockhart who won 3 games in a row after being tied at 5-5.  Just minutes later, Rhys Coleman won the clinching match 8-6 to pull out the victory.  McCallie is now 4-2.

Led by singles and doubles victories by Calvin Caputo, Findley Beasley and Tarek Ankar-Burdette the McCallie B team defeated the CCS B team 7-2.  Ayan Chakraborty and AJ Gupta won in singles and Stone Caputo was victorious in doubles playing with his brother, Calvin.
