CSCC Announces Community First Award Winners

Cleveland State Community College hosted its signature event on Tuesday evening—the Eighth Annual Community First Awards.

The event was held at the Partners in Industry and Education (PIE) Center in Cleveland and recognized individuals from Cleveland State’s five-county service area who share the Cleveland State value of always putting the community first.

Award winners were: Dr. Russell Dyer, Education; Dr. Ray Brooks, Cleveland State interim president; Dr. Linda Cash, Education; Ricardo Torres, Don Lorton Volunteer Service Award; Julia Johnson Scoggins, Philanthropy; Steve Lofty, Public Service; Janice Johnson Wilson, Philanthropy; Mark Johnson, Philanthropy; Dr.
Don Robinson, Healthcare; Carson Blevins, Student Leadership; Melissa Fugate, Arts; and Diana Jackson, Non-Profit Leadership.

The Life Bridges team celebrated their Chief Executive Officer Diana Jackson during the evening program.
