The Salvation Army’s Inman Coffee is back with its 12th annual music and arts festival, Phoenix Fest. Phoenix Fest earned its namesake from the Phoenix featured in Inman Coffee’s logo. Both the coffeehouse and festival aim to assist and inspire the community to rise from the ashes of difficult situations, much like the mythical creature.
Phoenix Fest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 7 at Cleveland’s Greenway Park from 10 a.m.-11 p.m. In total, 17 concerts will take place on the park’s grounds.
Sanctus Real, Jordan Smith and Social Club Misfits are the festival’s headliners with local talents spread throughout the day. The festival will feature craft vendors, food vendors, children’s activities and more. Attendees can also look forward to an "American Idol" style live competition complete with judges.
“We are so excited to provide such an expansive offering to our community. From the bevy of talent spanning folk, rock, hip hop and even reggae, there is an act for everyone,” said Major Doug McClure. “Add to that the selection of craft, community and food vendors, and we have created an all-day one-stop shop.”
“The entire day is centered by the encouragement to celebrate God’s ability to make something beautiful out of the brokenness and ashes of our lives,” said Joel Rogers, director of Christian Education at the Salvation Army and founder of Inman Coffee. “The true impact of Phoenix Fest is found in the sharing of story after story of how God changes lives, from the videos shared between artists to the stories from many of the bands themselves.”
Admission to the event is free. VIP wristbands are available at $49 each and include a meet and greet with Jordan Smith.

About the artists:
Sanctus Real
Originally formed in the late 90’s, Sanctus Real has survived the ever-changing musical landscape and their accolades prove it. Sanctus Real has generated 19 top ten singles, eight #1 singles, Dove Awards and Grammy nominations, however, the band honestly would tell you they feel like they’re just getting started. In 2023 Sanctus Real will release new music they’ve eagerly been working on and writing over the last few years. The band consists of lead singer Dustin Lolli, drummer Mark Graalman, and guitarist Chris Rohman.
Jordan Smith
The Voice Season 9 winner Jordan Smith’s voice needs no introduction. His powerhouse delivery and expansive range remain instantly identifiable and inimitable. His full-length debut, “Something Beautiful”, entered the Billboard Top 200 at #2 and made history as the highest debut ever and biggest first-week seller from a winner of The Voice. He continued to wow audiences with his first Holiday album, “‘Tis The Season”. Smith is the highest-selling artist to ever emerge from NBC’s EMMY Award-winning show, “The Voice”. He is now signed to Provident Entertainment/Sony Music, the largest faith-based label in the world.
Social Club Misfits
Social Club is a Miami duo who built a cult following on the strength of their provocative oeuvre and singular, quick-witted approach. Composed of Marty and Fern, Social Club is the after-effect of two distinctive personalities meshing to create an invigorating sound. With a host of projects and EPs under their proverbial belt, including the Billboard-charting full lengths “Misfits 2” and “US”, Social Club has made a sport of pushing boundaries and redefining the possibilities of what faith-based music can accomplish.
