Retired From WTVC Channel 9 As A Longtime Video Engineer

Brian A. Drake, 72, of Ringgold, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

He was born in Fayetteville, Ar. on Aug. 5, 1951, to the late Carl Drake and Evelyn Drake and had lived in the North Georgia area for most of his life. He retired from WTVC Channel 9 in 2007 after more than 31 years of service as a video engineer and was an avid reader, an amateur astronomer and an avid Braves fan. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of more than 45 years, Annette Rogers Drake; son, Danny Drake; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and (Sherrie) Drake, David and (Marilyn) Drake; sister & brother-in-law, Cynthia Drake and (Tim Garvin); brother-in-law, Lamont and (Debbie) Rogers; many fur babies and Rexy; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Services and burial will be private.

The family asks that any contributions be made to your local animal shelter in Brian’s memory.
