Margaret Ann "Peggy" Cravens passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023.

Throughout her 89 years, Peggy was a beautiful and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, friend, mother-in-law and "bonus" grandmother. She was always the eternal optimist, with a kind word for everyone she met. Upon being asked how she was doing, "Blessed and Highly Favored" was her immediate response, along with a smile.

Peggy was born in Flint, Michigan on August 4, 1934 and moved to Chattanooga with her mother and sister as a child and attended Chattanooga Valley High School.

She was married to the love of her life, Mike Cravens, for 49 years and they were blessed with a son, DeWayne, who was their pride and joy in all ways.

Along with being a wife and mother, Peggy was a very successful hair stylist in Chattanooga before going into the real estate profession until her retirement.

Peggy is preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Agnes Moore, her husband, Mike, her son, DeWayne and her sister, Zilpha Parrott. She is survived by her two favorite nieces, Karen Bouchard of Florida and Melba Wolf of Chattanooga, her amazing daughter-in-law, Cherie Cravens and her bonus grandchildren, Katie and Dillon Gann.

A graveside service will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery Pavilion on Friday, January 5, at 1:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked donation to be made to the “Wreaths Across America Foundation".
