Karen Francine Walls-Boston was born on August 2, 1966 to Jimmie and Mary Walls in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She passed away peacefully on December 28, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia.

Karen attended Chattanooga “City” High School and graduated with the Class of 1984. She played the flute in the band and later became Drum Major. She then attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a bachelor’s degree in Business. She later obtained her master's degree in Business Administration.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Anthony Wayne Boston Jr.; her parents, her siblings: Adrienne Walls-Brunner (Ernest) Madison, Al., Stacey Walls Fiegi, Chattanooga, Gennifer Walls, Madison, Al., Jimmie Walls IV (Indira), Madison, Al., Sherwine Burgess (Tony) Indianapolis, and Terrence Moore (Nicole), Lilburn, Ga.; nieces and nephews: Kai Fiegi, Puyallup, Wa., Kiara Fiegi Keel (Kendall) Calera, Al., John Fiegi Jr. Chattanooga; Korea Brunner, Sean Brunner, Drew Brunner and Ty Brunner; Jae Walls, and Cameron Walls; Jayce Walls, Imani Craft and Elijah Jones all of Madison, Al.; Jayson Walls and Aiyannah Williams, Smyrna, Tn.; O’Dell Stallion, Andron Stallion, Darienne Stallion, and Arias Howard all of Indianapolis; Terrence Moore II, Lilburn, Ga.

She leaves a huge family of cousins, aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews, and friends who will forever be touched with tender memories shared with Karen.

Special acquaintances and friends include Anthony Wayne Boston Sr., Betesia Garner-Harris, Tatia Hobbs, Audrey Dunn-McMillan, Ronald Simmons, and Adam Cowan.

Karen had such a zest for life. She befriended one and all. Kids were drawn to her like a magnet. “Camp Karen” was established for her visiting nephews and nieces as a way to entertain them during the summer months they were visiting. This has extended to include the great nephews and nieces. It is a legacy that will live on forever in her memory!

Our Karen Francine was truly larger than life. Her love of people of all walks of life is something to be emulated. She had the ability to make each person she came in contact with feel like they were royalty. Her love of family and friends was fierce and total. The role in life she most cherished was being a mother to her beloved Anthony. Her devotion to him was selfless and legendary. While our hearts ache, we are grateful for the abundance of joyful and meaningful times we shared with her. We know that she is now one of God’s angels.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 6, at Greater Tucker Missionary Baptist Church, 1115 North Moore Road, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.

Arrangements are by John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., Chattanooga, Tn., 423 622-9995.
