Since we are spending $35 million on the bridge's renovation, I don't think it is too much to ask for said renovation to include some type of special feature or innovative led lighting (solar panels). I'd like an engineering design consultant to explore bridge surface components that could further extend the life of the decking (TREX or other very long lasting manufactured materials). Consider acrylics where possible?
Let's make it an attractive and interesting place that will draw additional tourist attention.
