Madison Square Garden Events - And Response (5)

  • Monday, October 28, 2024

Hillary Clinton recently made the claim Trump’s Madison Square Garden campaign event was
a “re-enactment” of a Nazi rally there 85 years ago. That 1939 rally had brown-shirted storm troopers marching through a sieg-heiling crowd waving swastika flags with speakers spewing anti-Semitism.

Nothing happened like that Sunday night at Trump’s rally. Mary Milben sang the National Anthem, Speaker Johnson, J D Vance, Rudy, Elon, RFK Jr and numerous others spoke. Hulk Hogan said he didn’t see any “stinkin’ Nazis.” It’s because that fantasy only appears in Hillary’s book she’s trying to sell.

Few ever heard of the Nazi rally until Hillary raised it to slam Trump. What she won’t bring up is when Democrats held their 1924 convention in Madison Square Garden, their delegates rejected a resolution denouncing the KKK. Republicans included a denunciation of the Klan in their 1924 platform. Bill was nominated for president there in 1992 and a tribute was held at MSG for Hillary in 2001, but it's okay when it’s Clintons.

Harris’ Houston rally fell flat in comparison to Trump as she was booed for the Beyoncé “bait and switch” when the singer didn’t give a free show. Then the WashPo calls Trump a fascist threat, but won’t endorse Harris who claims to be saving democracy. Is it because they know its just a hoax?

Ralph Miller

Here are some items Mr. Miller left out:

One "comic" called Puerto Rico "a floating island of garbage" [Even the Trump campaign disavowed this line]. This "comic" referred to Jews as "cheap" (I believe that qualifies as antisemitic) and Palestinians as "rock throwers." He mocked Hispanics for failing to use birth control, and called out a black man in the audience with a reference to watermelon.

Another speaker likened Kamala Harris to a prostitute with "pimp handlers." Another said she was the antichrist and the devil. Hulk Hogan again ripped off his clothes and Elon Musk said the federal budget could be slashed by one-third.

A sign on the scoreboard said "Trump will fix it."

Sid Rosenberg labeled the Democratic Party as a "bunch of Jew -haters, degenerates and low lives." Rudy Giuliani said that "Palestinians are taught to kill Americans at two years old."

The sources for the above are the New York Times and cnn.com

A late-breaking news flash for Mr. Miller: Political parties change their goals, their membership, their platforms and their ideals over time. In the 1960s, it was Lyndon Johnson, a Democrat, who pushed for Civil Rights and Voting Rights legislation in the 1960s. And while the Republicans might have denounced the KKK in 1924, their candidate, Calvin Coolidge, went on to sign the National Origins Act, which sharply limited immigration from Southern and Eastern Europe. It also denied admission to Jews escaping the Holocaust. Coolidge, like Trump's acolyte Stephen Miller, said: "America must be kept American" and maintained that racial intermixture would weaken whites. Lastly, like Coolidge, Trump supports high protective tariffs, which were a contributing factor in the 1929 Great Depression.

Mark Twain said it best, "History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes."

Well Ralph, you sure know how to get responses to your opinion articles. Keep them coming.

I didn’t see the Madison Square Garden rally that was televised but evidently based on Mr. Woodward’s posting the comic was being a comedian and hitting on a lot. Some of it being offensive and crude jokes, much like the old Saturday Night Live before it became Saturday Night Liberals. I miss those days of unfiltered comedy. The comedian sure seemed to get some things right though, especially about Kamala with her handlers - Obama, Pelosi and Schumer - who pulled the coup on old Joey. Joe didn’t realize while spending 40 percent of his presidency at the beach that he was being plotted against. Kamala didn’t get one single vote for the nomination, no primary at all, she was just awarded the nomination. So much for the Party that is supposed to be saving Democracy from Orange Man Bad.

And the NYT reports that Elon said we could slash the budget by one third. I agree and start with all the three letter agencies which are nothing more than unelected bureaucrats who have too much power. Washington DC is out of control.

I agree with Mr. Woodward that political parties do change and the Democrat Party has changed tremendously. They are now the party of the billionaires (Big Tech, Big Ag, Big Pharma and most media outlets and the Hollywood elites). Just watch a Kamala rally with the pop stars and Swifties, non singing Beyoncé, and see for yourself who Kamala cares about. None of these groups mentioned above give a flip about the average American. Just follow the money where and who the Democrat Parties biggest donors are and how much more money the DNC gets in its coffers than the Republican Party.

It’s also hilarious to see the staffers at the media outlets resigning due to a non endorsement of Queen Kamala. I can only imagine what Nov. 6 will be like in the media if Trump actually wins this election. I’ve saved up during this record high inflation so I can have my popcorn ready.

Arch R. Tinker

"I didn’t see the Madison Square Garden rally that was televised." So begins Mr. Arch Tinker's letter praising Mr. Ralph Miller's letter about the Trump rally took place at MSG.

"The comedian sure seemed to get some things right though, especially about Kamala with her handlers - Obama, Pelosi and Schumer - who pulled the coup on old Joey."

How does Mr. Tinker know what the comedian said if he, Mr. Tinker, did not watch the rally? How would he know anything said by the comedian and if anything was right?

What is the source for Mr. Tinker to say President Biden spent 40 percent of his time at the beach, and tying Ms. Harris to the end of democracy. The truth is that both Presidents spent about 27 percent of each man’s time out of the Oval Office on personal time.

In addition, Trump used The White House as a profit center during his term since 1. The Secret Service was required to stay at his hotels to protect him, and 2. overcharging for those rooms. (Salon, 3/6/2020; nbcnews.com, 2/14/2020) There is no reason to think it’s no different today.

Two other issues where Mr. Tinker was wrong.

1. The Democratic Party is not the party of big business. It’s Trump promising tax cuts and eliminating regulation for big business.

2. Mr. Tinker referred to record high inflation. Wrong. Inflation was not at a record high anytime during the Biden Presidency. From The Federal Reserve data, during the Biden Administration, the highest rate of inflation was 7.2 percent in June, 2022. Compare that to the years 1978 to 1981. The range was from 9 percent in 1978 to 8.9 percent in 1981, with the highest rate being 13.30 percent in 1979. All higher rate were higher than the highest rate the Biden Administration.

Time and time again letters lack the necessary facts to their points. Mr. Miller’s and Mr. Tinker’s letters are no exception.

Joe Warren

Given Mr. Warren's response on the event at Madison Square Gardens, did Mr. Warren attend in person or is it case that we don't know what was said and who said it?

The full event was televised and also recorded on YouTube if you want to review the topics which were discussed.

If I wanted to quote a factual source it wouldn't be NBC, MSNBC or Salon given their "Hate Trump" agenda and non-factual accounts of the events. Where are your facts Mr. Warren? Mostly biased as our news media is when covering Mr. Trump?

Mr. Warren you are right, President Biden did not win the game of “My inflation is higher than yours”.

Jimmy Carter (1977 to 1981) beat him by a mile.
