The Covenant College men's tennis had the chance to play on its home court taking on Truett McConnell on Wednesday. The Scots rolled past the Bears, beating them 7-0.
Ben Onufrock and Caleb Domkowski earned the win in the No. 1 slot with a 6-3 result over David Matos Niella and Santiago Vicente Cruz. In the No. 2 position, Brock Boehling and Graham Hayes took care of business with a 6-2 win over Juan Pablo Diaz Franco and Cameron Lewis. Covenant earned the doubles sweep as Gavin Patton and Jacob Eldridge took down Luis Antonio Hernandez Jaramillo and Landon Guthrie 6-1.
In singles, Onufrock manned the No. 1 position and defeated Niella 6-0, 6-1. In the No. 2 slot, Domkowski won against Cruz 6-1, 6-0. Jackson Orsega got the job done in the No. 3 ranked match with a 6-2, 6-2 result over Franco. Boehling won a tight first set 7-6, before winning set two 6-2 over Lewis to earn a sweep in the No. 4 position. Gill Dunn won his match in the No. 5 position over Ross Stewart. Hayes secured a 6-1, 6-0 win over Max McKay in the final singles match.
Covenant begins its spring season in February.
