I am Lou Ziebold and I am running for Walden alderman in the upcoming Nov. 5 election. A recent submission from Mary Aho on Oct. 20 concerning me is 100 percent false. She stated, "He maintains a portfolio of out-of-state, large-scale shopping centers."
The fact is that I do not maintain any, zero, large or small shopping centers in my retirement investments. She and the small Mountain Planning Group are trying to portray me as something I am not in an effort to promote no development on the commercially zoned 22 acre property at the former Lines Orchids on Signal Mountain.
False accusations against those who are trying to serve their community and run for office are very offensive and confusing to our citizens.
Walden deserves to know the truth.
Please see my website to learn more about me and my commitment to Walden.

Walden candidate Lou Ziebold complained yesterday in the Chattanoogan that another opinion writer referred to him having a “portfolio of out-of-state, large-scale shopping centers.”
He said that the portfolio comment is “100 percent false.”
In a September Disclosure Statement filed with the Tennessee Ethics Commission, Ziebold listed under “Sources of Income”: Rise Partners Fund and listed under “Investments”: Rise Partners Fund.
Rise Partners Fund is a privately held commercial real estate and development firm with investments including shopping centers and other developments.
In submitting the Disclosure Statement to the Ethics Commission, Ziebold certified that the information in the Statement “is true, complete, and correct….”
In a recent mailing piece, Ziebold pledged “absolute truth and transparency at all times.”
Is Ziebold now saying that the Disclosure Statement is not “true, complete, and correct”?
It appears that we need a little more transparency here.
