The Union Gospel Mission will be serving Thanksgiving dinners this Wednesday to unhoused neighbors from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. on the front lawn of the Bessie Smith Cultural Center, 200 E. MLK Blvd. There will be tables and chairs available on the lawn for guests to sit and eat. Volunteers are needed to help serve.
“With the help of our community, we expect to serve about 400 warm Thanksgiving meals and share donated clothing and toiletries and provide backpacks,” said Rev. Jon Rector, executive director of The Union Gospel Mission.
“We know there are many in need this year of a warm meal and clothing. We are ready to serve and have faith that folks will step up to donate.”
The Union Gospel Mission needs your help with donations of monetary support and supplies.
