The Jericho Brass Band will have its free Veterans Day concert Monday
The Jericho Brass Band will have free Veterans Day Salute concert Monday. The concert is to recognize, acknowledge and thank our honorable American veterans from today and yesterday for their commitment and sacrifice to secure, protect and preserve the freedom and liberty that we and our families have enjoyed throughout the years.
The concert will be given at 7 p.m. at the UTC Campus Fine Arts Center, The Roland Hayes Concert Hall.
The concert centerpiece will be the World Premier performance of the song titled “With Invincible Valor”, commissioned by the Jericho Brass Band for this occasion, and written, composed and directed by internationally renowned Stephen Bulla, the former chief arranger and composer for the United States Marine Band.
The concert will also feature and honor the five servicemen who lost their lives in a terrorist attack on the Chattanooga Naval Reserve Center in 2015. The song entitled “Five”, was written by UTC’s own Kenyon Wilson to memorialize their service. In addition, several patriotic salutes and songs that reflect and encourage our patriotism and freedom in this beautiful country will be performed. The music will recognize each of our various services and their role in protecting, and securing our freedom over the years since 1776.
The concert is free and there will be free parking. Donations will be gratefully accepted.
