It was December Graduation Day at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on Saturday. A packed McKenzie Arena congratulated the newly minted mid-year alums with 22 coming from the athletic ranks in the University’s 264th Commencement Exercise.
"This is always a special day," commented Vice Chancellor for Athletics Mark Wharton. "Not only for the student-athletes, but also their coaches, support staff and everyone who had the chance to work with them during this journey on and off the field.
"Each of these students took full advantage of the college experience through athletics, and we celebrate their accomplishments."
The list included eight different sports including men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, football, women’s tennis, volleyball and wrestling.
