Henry Spencer
Henry Grady Spencer, age 81 of Trenton, Ga., passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024.
A Funeral Service to celebrate and honor Grady's life will be held on Monday, March 11, at 1 p.m. in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at the Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Those who wish to pay their respects can visit the family on Monday starting from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
Born on April 16, 1942, to the late Henry and Pauline Hawkins Spencer, Grady loved working on the farm alongside his horses and mules. He found joy in collecting carriages and dedicated over 46 years of service to the Dade County Road and Sanitation departments.
Grady is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Maureen Spencer; his son Henry (Megan) Spencer; his daughters Penny Tapley and Dorothy Henegar; sister, Ruby Paine, grandchildren Lashae, Crystal (Ryan), Lee, Ethan, Chase, Skylar, Levi, Dillon, Shelby, Edie, and Desi; as well as great-grandchildren McKenzie, Russell, Anzlee, Remington, Paisley, Zachary, Nova, Eleanor, Lil Dillon, Bryson, Jagger, Arya, Conner, Emma Ray, Charlie, Clayton, Emilie, and a host of others!
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Blevins.
Grady’s love and kindness will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
