Jerry Thomas Green, 79, of Signal Mountain, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2024, at his home surrounded by his beloved daughter.

Jerry was born on Sept. 7, 1944, to Thelma and Joe Green, the only boy in a family of six. He was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and Signal Mountain.

Jerry retired from Tuftco Corporation. His position at the company allowed him the opportunity of travel, with his favorite being South Africa for work, but if you asked him where his favorite place is, he would undoubtedly tell you St. Augustine, Fl., with his family for vacation. He also enjoyed fishing, hanging out around the campfire, but most of all he loved being with his family.

Jerry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lynda Green, parents, Joe and Thelma Green, sisters, Patty Green, and Wilma Higdon. We know they were there to welcome him into Heaven along with other loved ones gone before.

Jerry is survived by his daughter, Sherry Green (Connie Whitener), his sisters, Wanda Roden, Linda Jo (Mike) Burton, Cindy (James) DeSha and many nieces, nephews, and caring friends.

Graveside services will be on Monday, March 18, at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
