Lee University will host Dr. Dale M. Coulter, a professor of historical theology at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary, who will present a lecture next Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Lee Chapel.

The lecture, “Why Lee? Why Now? The Liberal Arts and a Christ-Patterned, Spirit-Infused Life," incorporates topics drawn from Dr. Coulter’s recent book, “The Holy Spirit and Higher Education: Renewing the Christian University,” co-authored with Amos Yong. The book reconsiders Christian education within a Pentecostal context and formulates a new approach to Christian higher education in relation to the activity of the Holy Spirit.

In addition to teaching historical theology, Dr. Coulter is an ordained minister in the Church of God of Cleveland, and has served as co-editor of PNEUMA: The Journal of the Society for Pentecostal Studies. He has written four other books and has also published numerous articles, which have appeared both in journals such as Franciscan Studies, Pro Ecclesia, and the International Journal of Systematic Theology, but also in outlets such as The Washington Post, The Stream, Seed Bed, and Christianity Today.

The lecture, funded by the Council of Independent Colleges and Lilly Endowment, Inc., is free and open to the public.
