Dr. Brad Moffett leading the Lee Singers
The Lee University Singers will present a tribute concert to commemorate Dr. Brad Moffett’s tenure as director of Singers on Tuesday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Pangle Hall.
“The past 18 years with the Singers have been one of the most fulfilling aspects of my professional musical career,” said Dr. Moffett. “For both me and my wife, Missy, the Singers have brought the joy of hundreds of live musical performances, trips to five continents, and thousands of hours of rehearsals, bus rides, and leisure where our students became like family to us.”
The hour-long, Tuesday evening concert will reflect the music of Singers from the past 18 years with Dr. Moffett as director, including songs such as “Abide with Me,” “Doxology,” “Let Everything That Has Breath,” and “Hallelujah.”
Additionally, all alums of Lee Singers who were in the group under Dr. Moffett’s direction have been invited to perform “In Christ Alone,” the one song that has been a part of Singers’ program since Dr. Moffet started directing, with the current Singers group.
“I hope members of the Cleveland/Bradley County community will join me for one last local concert with the Singers,” said Dr. Moffett. “It will not be too long and will not have any speeches – just an hour or so of excellent choir singing!”
The concert is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public.
