Curtis Lee Baker, 80, of East Ridge, Tennessee, passed away on April 23, 2024, surrounded by family.

Curtis was born in Chickamauga, and grew up in Rossville, where he graduated from Rossville High School. He married the love of his life, Rose Mary, in 1963 and began working at DuPont shortly after. He worked his way to a supervisor role over the course of his career and eventually retired after 38 years. Following his retirement, he worked part-time for Premier Truck Group for 20 years.

Curtis was a devout husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His hobbies included spending time and traveling with family, and working on and showing classic cars. Curtis was a member of the Donuttins Car Club, and served as vice president of the East Ridge Optimist Club, and president of the AACA Car Club. He also served as president of Meade-Evans Life Group and was on the ID Board of East Ridge.

Curtis was a man of God and a family man. He believed you should always treat others as you would like to be treated. He and his wife attended Brainerd Baptist Church and were active members of their Sunday School Class, the Meade-Evans Life Group.

Family members who have gone on before him include his parents, Clarence and Bessie, and siblings, Barbara, Leon, Frank, and Clarence, AKA Buddy. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rose Mary, two sons, Rod (Shay) and Todd, daughter-in-law, Sheli, grandchildren, Garet (Paige) and Gage (Taylor), and countless nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at the Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel, 404 South Moore Road on Sunday, April 28, from 2-6 p.m. and Monday, April 29, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
