Women Veteran Health Day Event With Walk-In Mammography Services At Chattanooga VA Set For June 26

The Chattanooga VA Clinic is hosting a Women Veteran Health Day celebration on Wednesday, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 6401 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga. This special event honors the contributions of women in the military while providing access to crucial health services to women veterans. 

A highlight of the event is the on-site walk-in mammography services, ensuring veteran patients have immediate access to vital breast cancer screenings without needing prior appointments. Additionally, scheduled pap smear services will be available to support women’s health further. 

Other health care services veterans will benefit from include:

• Blood pressure screenings 

• Kidney health screenings 

• Diabetes education 

• Hemoglobin A1C testing 

• Immunizations 

• Mammography screenings 

• Pap smears 

To support and celebrate the contributions of women veterans, Retired U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major Mildred Jordan will be present to share her experiences and insights on rising through the ranks in the military from 12:30–1:30 p.m.
