Chattanooga FC Women Travel To Georgia Impact Friday

  • Thursday, June 20, 2024
Chattanooga FC Women will travel for their second away game of the year to Georgia Impact, Friday, June 21 at 6:00 p.m. ET in Canton, Georgia, in a battle for a top-five spot halfway into the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) season.

CFC Women has a game in hand on Georgia Impact, and have only played four games in comparison to most of the league’s six. A win for the Sky Blues would keep them from falling into the bottom half of the table, and inch them closer to the solo playoff spot in one of the more competitive conferences in the WPSL.

While both teams were in the WPSL last season, they were in different conferences.
This will be the first-ever meeting between the teams.

The Sky Blues have a quick turnaround before a final regular season home game at Finley Stadium on Sunday, June 23rd at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Georgia Impact sit in fifth-place in the WPSL Southeast Conference with eight points and five games played with two wins, two draws and one defeat.

The club's victories have come against Atlanta Fire (4-0) and FC Birmingham (7-0), with draws against Decatur FC (0-0) and UFA Gunners (2-2) and a defeat against Nashville Rhythm (1-2).

Forward Ines Obradovac is joint-third in the conference with four goals.

Last season, in a different conference, Georgia Impact finished in first place. This is the club's first year in the Southeast Conference.
