As the 2024 WNBA season rolls into a new month, former Lady Vols across the league are continuing to reach new heights. In the past week, rookie forward Rickea Jackson and second-year forward Jordan Horston both produced season-high efforts.
 
A trio of different franchises claim Lady Vols on their rosters. Horston and center Mercedes Russell play for the Seattle Storm. Their team currently holds the second position in the Western Conference standings and occupies fourth place overall in the league standings with a 14-7 record.

The Chicago Sky features guard Diamond DeShields and forward Isabelle Harrison, while guard/forward Rae Burrell and Jackson are part of the Los Angeles Sparks.

Rae Burrell (2018-22) has appeared in 18 games for the Sparks this season, clocking in a season-high 32 minutes and contributing nine points against Las Vegas on July 5. She is averaging 4.4 points and 12.6 minutes per game thus far. Most recently, Burrell posted four points, two assists and a rebound over 16 minutes against the Mercury on July 7.

Diamond DeShields

Since returning to the Sky this season, Diamond DeShields (2014-17) has appeared in 18 contests. DeShields is averaging 5.2 points per game, with 1.6 assists and 1.6 rebounds while playing 16.3 minutes per contest. Most recently, DeShields tied her season high with 24 minutes at Atlanta. She compiled nine points, two assists, a rebound and a steal during the Sky's 85-77 victory.

Isabelle Harrison

Isabelle Harrison (2011-15) has seen action in 16 games during her first active season with the Sky. After missing last season due to injury, she is averaging 5.7 points and 3.1 rebounds while playing 14.4 minutes per game. In her most recent action, she contributed 11 points, four rebounds and a pair of blocked shots during a season-high 20-minute stint at Seattle on July 7.

Jordan Horston

In her second season in the league, Jordan Horston (2019-23) is averaging 7.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.6 assists over 24.0 minutes per contest for the Storm. After undergoing off-season shoulder surgery, she has picked up steam as the season has gone on. Horston is coming off a showcase game against Chicago on July 5. She totaled a season-high 20 points along with six rebounds and a steal vs. the Sky, giving her double-figure scoring efforts in six of her last nine contests.

Jackson is averaging 10.9 points, 3.8 rebounds and 25.5 minutes per contest while shooting 45.3 percent from the field and 76.5 from the charity stripe. Her best effort this season came against Phoenix on July 7, when she posted 22 points, six rebounds and three assists. The contest marked the LVFL's 12th double-digit scoring effort this season, including the past four games and in eight of the last 11.

In her seventh season with Seattle, Mercedes Russell (2013-18) continues to make a difference in the paint. This year, she has participated in 20 games, averaging 4.1 points and 3.1 rebounds and shooting 58.3 percent from the field over 15.3 minutes per contest. She tied her season best with eight points while playing 10 minutes on July 5 against Chicago.
