Right At Home Chattanooga Expands To Help Seniors Live Independently At Home

  • Tuesday, July 16, 2024

Right at Home Chattanooga, an in-home care provider for seniors and adults with disabilities who want to live independently, has expanded its in-home care service area to cover Maryville, Tn.

“We know that 90% of seniors want to age in their homes, and families want their loved ones to get the best care possible,” said Bryan Hensley, owner of Right at Home Chattanooga. “We’ve expanded our service area to cover the counties from Chattanooga to Maryville so we can help more seniors and adults with disabilities live successfully exactly where they want to be—at home.”

Mr. Hensley and his business partner Ryan Naegele, from business and nonprofit backgrounds, embarked on their franchising journey with Right at Home driven by a personal mission to make a positive impact on their community.

“We saw this as an opportunity to serve both the client base of vulnerable adults and seniors as well as a really large employee base that oftentimes is overlooked and taken advantage of,” Mr. Hensley said. “We were surprised that Chattanooga didn’t have a Right at Home, considering it’s such a desirable place to live and retire.”

They experienced the absence of crucial support systems when caring for aging loved ones who would have benefited from in-home care. This led them to realize that, as Right at Home franchisees, they could provide something truly valuable to families in their community.

Mr. Hensley and Mr. Naegele opened their first Right at Home franchise in Chattanooga in 2016 and expanded to Cleveland, in 2022. Now, the team has added Maryville to their service area, and the pair plans to continue expanding in Tennessee to additional surrounding areas. This expansion stems from their deep passion for this meaningful work and their love for the Chattanooga community. The team and their wives, Maddie Hensley and Meghann Naegele, are all actively involved on multiple levels throughout their local community and are proud of the tremendous impact they have already made and will continue to make.

In addition to their local commitments, Mr. Naegele was recently elected by fellow Right at Home franchisees to serve on the national Right at Home Strategic Leadership Council. Mr. Hensley serves as the founding president of the Tennessee state chapter of the Home Care Association of America, where members have successfully advocated for legislative changes to expand the services that home care agencies can offer in Tennessee.

“We understand that everyone’s care situation is unique,” Mr. Naegele said. “Choosing the most suitable caregiver to provide care and bring joy to a client is what makes the relationship successful. With over 200 employees now delivering care in our area, it’s been incredible to see the impact Right at Home has had over the past eight years.”

Right at Home offers a range of in-home care services, including light housekeeping, transportation, personal hygiene assistance, hospice support, and situational care for adults with Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, and other chronic health conditions and disabilities. In-home care services can be provided from one hour a week up to 24/7 care. Free in-home care assessments allow the care team to get to know seniors and their families, along with the seniors’ health needs, daily routines, hobbies, and personalities, to form personalized care plans.

“Our clients are our neighbors and our friends,” said Mr. Hensley. “We are very proud to serve our community with in-home care whenever and wherever they need it.”
