Vote For Sherrie Guinn Ford For School Board District 11 - And Response

  • Wednesday, July 17, 2024

Sherrie Guinn Ford is a candidate for Hamilton County School Board District 11. Sherrie is more than just a candidate as she will not need on-the-job training. Sherrie has been training for the role of school board member as the last eight years she has served as executive assistant to the Hamilton County Board of Education.

In that role, she works closely with board members, chairman, superintendent and staff to prepare the agenda, arranging for delegations and sending out that information to each board member prior to monthly meetings. She is a conduit between the board and administration, a singular role. That means she has to be keenly aware of policies, procedures and regulations and have the ability to work effectively.

Those who know Sherrie know she is creative, a tireless worker who seeks solutions and one who speaks her mind yet can with work with all kinds of folks. Her children attended Hamilton County Schools and she was a dedicated member of the PTA.

As a retired HCDE employee and Hamilton County resident I have a special interest in wanting the best for the public schools and its graduates. The best would be to vote early and elect Sherrie Guinn Ford to the Hamilton County School Board.

In my opinion, Sherry Ford will bring about change for the good in the HCDE.  She is not for the SEAD curriculum, the woke reading curriculum, the practice of no grade below 50 and she wants to increase discipline in the classroom so that students can learn without disruption.

If you want these things, vote for Sherrie Ford. These things will boost all students.
