The acts have been chosen for this year’s Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent variety show in Chattanooga, presented by Morning Pointe Senior Living, and tickets are now on sale.
The show will take place on Monday, July 29 at 7 p.m. at the Silverdale Center Creekside Theater, 7236 Bonny Oaks Dr. in Chattanooga. The theater is part of the Silverdale Baptist Academy campus, next to the sports fields.
Acts on deck include singers, guitarists, dancers, comedians, a magician and a hammered dulcimer player.
Their ages range from 60-93 years young. The grand-prize winner will receive $1,000, with $500 going to second place and $250 going to the third-place winner.
Audience members will also be able to vote for the People’s Choice Award winner for $1 per vote.
Tickets for the Morning Pointe Foundation Seniors Got Talent show are $10. They are available at
silverdaleba.org/arts. Seating is general admission, and the show almost sold out last year.
All proceeds from votes, ticket sales and sponsorships will go to the Morning Pointe Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, to support nursing and other college scholarships. The Morning Pointe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Morning Pointe Senior Living founded by senior healthcare entrepreneurs Greg A. Vital and J. Franklin Farrow. It was created in 2014 to provide caregiver support programs, sponsor educational awareness events and fund scholarships to advance the care of seniors throughout the Southeast.
“We are so excited about this year’s wide variety of talent,” said Miranda Perez, Morning Point Foundation executive director. “It’s going to be a night of fun for the attendees, and for the contestants as well.”
Gino D, radio personality with Hits 96 in Chattanooga, will serve as emcee for the show. Judges are Steve Darmody, award-winning Christian recording artist; Danielle Farrell, author, dancer and director of Raw Art Dance & Entertainment Dance Academy; Josh Robinson, executive producer of The Daily Refresh on NewsChannel 9 in Chattanooga; and Susan Caminez, executive director of the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra.
Morning Pointe’s Seniors Got Talent is building on a 15-year tradition that began at Morning Pointe of Hixson. Morning Pointe also sponsors Seniors Got Talent competitions in Knoxville and Franklin, as well as Lexington, Ky.
