UTC To Host "Chat With The Mocs" Radio Show

  • Sunday, August 4, 2024
Chat with the Mocs presented by Bud Light is back for another exciting year. The weekly radio show brings coaches and student-athletes to Miller’s Ale House in Hixson where fans can join in, as well as via the airwaves on WFLI and GoMocs.com for those outside the area.

WFLI is shared on three radio slots with 96.1 and 100.3 on the FM dial and 1070 AM. The show has long been a gathering spot for loyal Mocs fans as well as drawing a healthy listener ship on the Mocs Sports Network.

"We're excited to announce another season of Chat with the Mocs," Mocs Sports Properties GM Zach Huston said.
"It brings our coaches and student-athletes to the public both in person, at our partner restaurant Miller's Ale House, as well as over the airwaves on WFLI and GoMocs.com. It's great to spend time with Mocs fans and get the latest from 'Voice of the Mocs' Jim Reynolds each week.

"It's one of my favorite pieces of our puzzle."

Reynolds brings it all to life each week. The first segment features Coach Rusty Wright during football season followed by a selected student-athlete from the Mocs Strategic Communication office. It switches to an all-basketball hour as fall transitions to winter with Coaches Dan Earl and Deandra Schirmer taking over.

It’s not just football and basketball. Several sports take a turn along the way as Mocs Sports Properties and Bud Light look to put the spotlight on all things Chattanooga Mocs.

It begins on Monday night, August 19, with the annual state of the department hour with Vice Chancellor for Athletics Mark Wharton. Wright and the football squad take it from there on the 26th before basketball makes their move at the completion of the football campaign. The show on the 26th will be at McKenzie Arena rather than Miller’s.

Any schedule changes throughout the year are announced via the Mocs social channels on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The Mocs open the season at Tennessee on Aug. 31. The first home game is also the Southern Conference opener against Mercer on Sept. 14. The home slate also includes visits from Portland State, Wofford, VMI and Samford. Tickets are available here or by calling (423) 266-MOCS (6627).
