Lady Flames Third At City With Spirit Fall Classic

Wingate University (NC) is the leader after two rounds of The City With Spirit Fall Classic being hosted by Lee University at the Cleveland Country Club. The Bulldogs put together rounds of 292-285, 1-over 577 to capture the lead after 36 holes. Anderson University (SC) holds down the second spot 292-295 – 587, 11-over par.

The Lady Flames opened play with a 303 then bounced back with an 297 on the second round and holds down third place with a 24-over 600. Lincoln Memorial University will head into the final 18 holes on Tuesday in the No.
4 spot after recording rounds of 304-303, +31 and Lindsey Wilson College (Ky) rounds out the top five in the 18-team field with rounds of 310-302, +36.

Amely Bochaton of Wingate is the individual leader with two strong rounds and an 8-under 136 heading into Tuesday’s play. Kajsa Lindqvist of Lander (SC) is second with a 5-under 139. Lee’s Hannah Nall put together two 1-under par round of 71 and is tied for third place with Kennedy Gooding of Anderson (SC) at 142. Butpapaporn Sukterm of Lindsey Wilson rounds out the top five with an even par 144.

Other Lee scorers were Banthita “Pearl” Phoncharatkun with a 146. Lehane Louis-Dumond had a 151 and Haley Blevins rounded the top four with a 154. Hope Harrell had the score that did not count in the opening round after a 171.
