Cloudmont Ski Resort, a cherished 1970s ski hill and winter staple for the Southeast, is reopening fully this season after a five-year hiatus.

Generations of families from the tri-state area have enjoyed skiing and snowboarding at this unique, family-owned resort. Featured in SKI Magazine and other publications, Cloudmont has long been a favorite for introducing the joy of winter sports to kids and families.

This year, with snow in the forecast, the Cloudmont team, volunteers, past employees and the Jones family have worked tirelessly to prepare the slopes for reopening.

"Join us for a weekend of fun, food and skiing at one of the most distinctive ski resorts in the USA. Celebrate the community spirit that has kept this family-owned gem alive for decades," officials said.

Schedule: Saturday & Sunday
- 1-4 p.m. (lift, rentals & lessons)
- 6-10 p.m. (lift, rentals & lessons)

Pricing:
- Lift tickets: $35 (kids under 12), $40 (adults)
- Lessons & Rentals: $15 (kids), $30 (adults)
- Student discounts available with student ID

Rentals: Get fitted locally at Neptune Diving & Ski in Nashville or Dodge City Ski & Liquor in Chattanooga (discounts available when mentioning Cloudmont).

“We are overwhelmed with the support of ski fans and passionate and willing volunteers are working so hard to re-open for this weekend. The amount of people coming together to realize this opening from a grass-roots perspective just proves the strong community element we've always valued. It's what Cloudmont was always about, showing people a good time and bringing folks together," said Austin Jones, the owner's son.
