The Scott L. Probasco, Jr., distinguished chair of Free Enterprise (Probasco chair) will present an event entitled “The Economics of Sports, a Conversation with Randy Boyd, Brad R. Humphreys and Jay Greeson,” on Thursday, Feb. 6 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s Wolford Family Athletic Center at 720 E. 4th St. in Chattanooga.

The free event will feature a panel discussion moderated by Jay Greeson, sportswriter and columnist at the Chattanooga Times Free Press.

We’re excited to give sports fans a look behind the curtain to better understand the inner workings of some of our favorite pastimes.”

Topics covered in the discussion will include stadium financing, the shifting NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) landscape, the public benefits of professional and amateur athletics and more.

The event is open to the general public, and lunch will be provided. Advance registration is requested and can be accessed here.
