Urban League To Host Its 5th Annual MLK Day Youth Leadership Symposium

The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga presents its fifth annual MLK Day Youth Leadership Symposium, celebrating the theme: “Mission Possible: Youth Leading the Charge for Freedom, Justice, and Democracy.”
 
The event will be held his coming Monday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at The Chattanoogan Hotel, 1201 Broad St.
Chattanooga, TN 37402
 
Officials said, "Each year the Urban League’s Project Ready program students help to coordinate and lead this event with content and activities designed to educate, empower and engage middle and high school students around Dr.
King’s philosophy. Event activities will explore historical and current advocacy concepts through a variety of group, hands-on and entertaining activities including a student-led discussion."
 
This event is free of charge due to the generous support of sponsors, Benwood Foundation, Footprint Foundation and the Enterprise Mobility Foundation, but requires prior registration due to venue capacity.
