Even more residential homes than announced before are now planned at the 122-acre Hillock Farms development in Hixson.
Developer Ethan Collier, who took over the stalled development near Highway 153 and Boy Scout Road, in August said he would convert it to 430 housing units. The new plan includes 478 residential units.
There had been a commercial area near Highway 153. That will shrink to five acres, with 11.2 acres of the former commercial area to be added to the residential portion.
Hillocks Farms was first announced in early 2016 by a Florida development firm. The $100 million development was to focus on high-end apartments and commercial.
The property is bounded by Highway 153, Boy Scout Road and Sandswitch Road.
The overall density is to remain at 3.92 units per acre.
The property is the former Jack Lonas farm.
