Edna Romans Williams
Edna Romans Williams, 93, of Hixson, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
She was born in Pikeville, Tn., to the late Sam and Maggie Romans. Edna graduated from Bledsoe County High School, attended Lee University, and received a master’s degree in Education from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. She was a school teacher at Rivermont Elementary School, retiring after 25 years. She loved teaching her 5th and 6th grade students.
Edna was a member of North Chattanooga Church of God for many years, and she was currently a member of Hixson United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 70 years, Jack Williams; her parents, listed above; brothers, Edgar (Josephine) Romans and Robert (Frances) Romans; sister, Edith (Gene) Spencer; and great-grandson, Isaac Moore.
Survivors include daughter, Deborah (Charles) Tucker; sons, Anthony Williams and Joel (Chiesa) Williams; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and three nieces.

A visitation for Edna will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 4, from 12-2 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, P.O. Box 9, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
A celebration of life service will start at 2 p.m. following the visitation. A committal will occur on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 TN-153, Chattanooga, Tn. 37343.
